This Week At the Farm      In The Pool
  • The vegetables are growing well and we have more orders last 2 weeks. Sorry to those of you who do not get all you want. We'll keep trying our best.
  • Our rain water tank are all done now and we only have a shed to put up on the driveway so that loading can continue in the rain.
  • Our 3 WWOOfers are still here working quite happily. How I wish young Singaporeans can be as adventurous.
  • Do you know that Lim Cho Kang area, where we are, is one of the very few places without Dengue fever, even though we have lots of mosquitoes and foreign workers living in our midst. Mosquitoes do not start dengue fever, humans do. So stay away from shopping centres and your neighbours. Fogging will kill your kids and reduce the risk to you. We are only worried that our mosquitoes will be infected by Singaporeans.

Just For Fun

I just received a call from a long time customer since we started this farm. We have not heard from her for over a year because her business is expanding and she had no time to cook.
Last Friday she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It reminds me of this email in my library.
_________

This young girl suffering from cancer has 6 months left to live, and as her dying wish,
She wanted to send a poem telling everyone to live
their life to the fullest, since she never will.
She'll never make it to prom, graduate from high
school, or get married and have a family of her own.

This is her poem

  SLOW DANCE

  Have you ever watched kids
 On a merry-go-round?
 Or listened to the rain
 Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
 You better slow down.
  Don't dance so fast.
 Time is short.
 The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
  On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
 Do you hear the reply?
 When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
 With the next hundred chores
 Running through your head?
 You'd better slow down
 Don't dance so fast.
 Time is short.

 The music won't last.

  Ever told your child,
 We'll do it tomorrow?
 And in your haste,
 Not see his sorrow?
 Ever lost touch,
 Let a good friendship die
 Cause you never had time
 To call and say,"Hi"
 You'd better slow down.
 Don't dance so fast.
 Time is short.
 The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift...Thrown away.
  Life is not a race.
Do take it slower, hear the music

  Before the song is over.

Just to make sure we don't forget to laugh. Read this.

Three old grandmas were sitting on a bench outside a nursing home.
About then old Stan walked by and one of the grandmas says, "We bet we can tell how old you are."

The old man said, "There ain't no way you can guess it."

One of the grandmas said, "Sure we can!  Just drop your trousers and we  can tell your exact age."

So he did.

The grandmas stared at him for a while and then they all piped up and  said, "You're 84 years old!"
The old man was stunned. "Amazing!  How did you guess that?"
The grandmas laughed.  Slapping their knees and grinning from ear to ear, all three happily yelled in unison,
"You told us yesterday!"

This is a weekly service provided for GreenCircle customers who like to be reminded to order their vegetables.  We also send this to our regular package subscribers who do not need reminders, just to keep everyone informed on what goes on in the farm.  This reminder is usually sent on Sundays so we include a funny section to help you start the week in a cheerful mood.  If you do not want to receive this mail, just return it to us and we will remove your name from this mailing list. If you have any suggestions please feel free to email us. This weeks' Order Form is attached for those who want to order by email or fax.
